Travel insurance figures boom in wake of 2012 Games

With the London Olympics just around the corner, travel insurance looks to be experiencing a surge in sales, with arranged flight arrivals to terminals in London increasing by 3.1%, following research from travel data intelligence agency, Amadeus and Forward keys. Olympics set to influence this year’s holiday trends

A survey conducted by British Airways has shown that one in four Britons plans to fit their holiday plans around the Olympics. The report revealed that over 40% of Brits have already made arrangements to plan their getaways around this summer’s games, with as many as one in ten even cancelling their breaks abroad to watch the Olympics, with others claiming the sporting event was behind their reasons for not having booked a holiday yet.
