Brits Not Properly Insured When They Travel

Only one in five Brits are protected by the correct level of travel insurance when they are holidaying, according to new research from MoneySupermarket.com. Statistics show that travelling Brits average value of suitcase contents, including both hand and hold luggage, is £1440 per person.

Despite this, the study found that over 4 million people fail to take out any travel insurance at all- even though research also stated that two million Britons have lost their suitcase or had it stolen in the past. The research also found that a third were underinsured and half were over-insured.
